DTS Chapter

Our history
The Delta Theta Sigma (DTS) Cincinnati Alumni Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on February 1, 1962.  The five charter members – Bros. Harry R. Jackson, Sr., Dayton R. Jackson, Jr., Gillard R. Brown, Rufus L. Barfield, and Marcus A. Cummings – laid the foundation for Phi Beta Sigma to grow and flourish in the Ohio Valley region.  With the help of current chapter member, Bro. Caleb Brown, Jr., the chapter was reactivated in 1977.  Since then, the brothers have seen a tremendous amount of growth in membership, including assisting in chartering four undergraduate chapters at the biggest universities in the region (Lambda Theta – University of Cincinnati; Alpha Beta Kappa – Miami University in Oxford; Alpha Beta Rho – Northern Kentucky University; Gamma Alpha Iota – Xavier University).

The Brothers of the Delta Theta Sigma chapter hit a new milestone when they established its non-profit organization, the Delta Theta Sigma Chapter Foundation, Inc.  Through the establishment of the foundation, the chapter will increase their participation with our philanthropic partners, such as the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society, as well as support our local initiatives such as our scholarships and the Sigma Beta Club – Cincinnati Chapter.
