The Delta Theta Sigma Chapter Foundation established an award scholarship, in the name of Caleb Brown, Jr., to promising young men in the Cincinnati area.

More about Caleb Brown, Jr.
Bro. Caleb Brown, Jr., originally from Meridian, Mississippi, was a 1962 graduate of Brighton High School (Brighton, Alabama) and entered the United States Air Force in October of the same year. He served almost four distinguished years in the USAF, including a tour in Vietnam. Bro.
Brown enrolled at Central State University in August 1966 and graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Economics in 1970. While at Central State, he was initiated into Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. on June 1, 1968, and helped to reactivate the Nu Chapter. He served two years as Chapter President. Immediately after leaving CSU, he was accepted into the University of Cincinnati College of Law, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1973. While a law student, he assisted
in creating the Black Law Students Association. He was admitted to practice law on April 27, 1974.
Bro. Brown helped to reactivate the Delta Theta Sigma Chapter in Cincinnati in 1977. He served as chapter president in each decade from 1977 through 2012. He was elected the first Regional Legal Counsel for the Great Lakes Region in 1994 and serves as the fraternity’s Legal Counsel for the State of Ohio. He is a Life Member of the Fraternity, and on January 5, 2013 was given the distinction of President Emeritus of the Delta Theta Sigma Chapter.
Bro. Brown began his legal career with the Model City Public Defender Office in June 1974. He also served in many professional capacities: Assistant Ohio Attorney General, Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General, Administrative Hearing Officer Ohio for the Department of Mental
Retardation and Disabilities, and Magistrate for the Village of Lincoln Heights Mayors’ Court. He was also a candidate for Hamilton Country Treasurer and the First District Court of Appeals.
