Scholarship eligibility
To be eligible to receive the Caleb Brown, Jr. Scholarship, each applicant must meet the following:
- A Black male high school student graduating in Spring;
- Attending a High School in the Greater Cincinnati area;
- Have a minimum weighted GPA of 2.5;
- Accepted into a four-year accredited college or university.
Scholarship Amount and Disbursement
The most qualified candidate will receive a $1,500 scholarship. Additional funds may be available for other awards as determined by the Caleb Brown, Jr. Scholarship Committee. The funds will be disbursed directly to the institution of higher education that the recipient will be attending in two separate payments – one before the Fall Semester and the other before the Spring Semester. In the event the recipient is not enrolled in the institution, the funds will be returned to the DTS Foundation to be disbursed to the next four-year institution in that same year or will be forfeited.
